Big Ideas. Big Scholarships.

Since 2002 the Master of Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology (MBET) program at the University of Waterloo has provided aspiring entrepreneurs with the critical business skills, real-world experience and a strong business network to start a business and successfully bring new ideas to market.

The MBET program is continuing this legacy in its 10th year by launching a new scholarship program to help entrepreneurs obtain the knowledge and skill they need to succeed. As a result multiple funding opportunities are now available to reward you for your entrepreneurial drive, passion and creativity.

New for 2012!

Conrad Family Scholarships

The Conrad family knows what it is like to dream big and to have the vision, creativity and drive to transform a new idea into a successful new business venture. They also know what it takes to make your dream happen.

The MBET program will continue to attract the best and brightest entrepreneurial students by offering up to 15 scholarships valued at $20,000 each to be awarded to students entering the MBET program in September 2012 to help you launch your business venture.

How it Works
Once you are offered admission into the MBET program, you will be invited to apply for the Conrad Family Scholarships by submitting a mini-business plan. Scholarship recipients will be selected by a panel of faculty and advisory council members based on your entrepreneurial passion, quality of your business plan and record of academic achievement.  The Conrad Family Scholarships are available to Canadian and Permanent Residents of Canada only.

And There’s More!

To qualify for other MBET scholarships you must meet minimum admission requirements. Students are nominated for scholarships by the MBET Admission Committee based on merit and specific criteria that the donors have requested. You will automatically be considered for scholarships upon acceptance into the MBET program. There is no application process and therefore no deadlines to worry about.
